Introduction

Now, although most VPNs do what they say, which is encrypting your traffic and masking your real IP Address, this does not mean that there are no strings attached. Popular VPNs such as NordVPN, ProtonVPN, ExpressVPN and more have their fair share of governmental overreach and exploits.

This isn't meant to scare you from using a VPN, I personally use Proton and have found it to be very useful, but it's to understand that everything you do can still be tracked and that you are not invisible... yet.
